NEWS

BCS is BS (10:22am on 1-14-10)
Congratulations to Jake Raiton for winning the 5th annual BCS is
BS pool
.  Also, I have a new piece at Bleacher Report, give it a
read
if you like.

Netflix (4:38pm on 12-9-09)
Since I last wrote I've started work at
Netflix in their customer
service department in Hillsboro.  Great company, I'm excited to at
the opportunity and have enjoyed my time there so far even if I am
waking up at 3am most mornings.

Commandos Win! (1:03pm on 10-23-09)
Last weekend I was part of another championship kickball team.  My
sixth kickball trophy with three different teams and two different
leagues.  It was really fun to be able to do it with Rhiannon and
her team for so long, the Commandos.  I have set up a new
kickball
page
, which you can click on the link here or find in the sports
section from now on.

Stroh's Tourney (11:58am on 8-14-09)
Another successful
Stroh's Tourney in the books.  For the first
time sine 1998, my team made it to the finals but still the
elusive first tournament win escapes my grasp.  There's always
next year.

Recess kickball tournament starts tonight.  The Fat Cobras got a
#2 seed so we don't have to play until tomorrow at 10:15am.  It's
gonna be the biggest kickball tournament in Portland history (98
teams!), so a win would be monumental.  Lots of good teams though
so the road will be tougher than last Summer's win.

Cornhole Tournament (1:20am on 7-28-09)
I
created a page for the upcoming tourney.

The Gorge! (12:05am on 7-10-09)
Tomorrow Rhiannon and myself-- along with Alden, Jenny, Matt, and
Sarah-- are heading to George, Washington and the majestic Gorge
Amphitheater to see Coldplay.  Though I feel Coldplay has gotten
less and less interesting with each release (I realize I am in the
minority here), I am still excited to see them live for the first
time.

T-Money's Vlog (5:09pm on 6-17-09)
Check out my new vlog (video blog) by clicking on the link that is
now on the left of all TimothyStout.com pages.

Summer is Upon Us (4:15pm on 6-17-09)
Though the calendar doesn't say it's Summer for a few more days,
summer-like activities are in full swing.  Camping, kickball,
disc
golf, barbecuing, the coast, weddings, hikes, etc.  All good
things and all things I have either done recently, will do soon,
or am doing on a consistent basis throughout the next couple of
months.

Zealand is three months old now and doing great.  So far, aside
from some minor potty issues, she has been zero trouble for us.

Zealand! (1:44pm on 5-7-09)
We named her Zealand and she's the cutest little thing in the
world.  She definitely can get under our skin with the
peeing/pooing/chewing/etc., but she gets better every day; she's
already a member of the family (though Libbie Cat may disagree).

Dog in Two Days (11:24am on 4-28-09)
We pick up our puppy (black lab) in two days.  It's gonna be a big
adjustment for us having so much responsibility all of the sudden,
and Rhiannon is a little nervous how Libb
ie Cat is gonna react.
All will be fine I'm sure, now back to puppy proofing the house!

Good Easter (7:33pm on 4-12-09)
Today was a great day with family.  Spent the morning with
Rhiannon's family and the evening with my family (minus Kim, hope
you feel better soon!).  Rhiannon and I are so lucky to have such
great people in our lives and who will be there for us.

The New Digs! (4:30pm on 4-1-09)
Rhiannon and I moved into our new home on March 25th.  I don't
know that I ever thought I'd be back in Southwest Portland again
after growing up over here but here we are.  The house is awesome,
we're still getting settled in and unpacked and what not, but it
definitely feels like home.  After selling my old house in
September, we've lived in an apartment, hotels and hostels, and
back to an apartment so it sure does feel nice to have a home to
call our own again.

Scout.com (2:07pm on 3-20-09)
My
Bleacher Report article on spring position battles for the
Ducks was picked up by
Scout.com yesterday, one of the premiere
college athletics websites.  Pretty cool.

My 2009 Portland Disc Golf Tour (1:48pm on 3-20-09)
I'm on a
mission.

Recent Articles (2:03pm on 3-4-09)
I recently wrote an article on
players to watch for the Ducks in
'09 as well as a piece on Greg Oden.

Rhiannon and I are off to Virginia tomorrow.  I will see the first
two Hampton Phish shows with friends while she visits her family
in Blacksburg, then she will join me for the third and final show
and then we both will drive back to Blacksburg where I will get to
meet her Grandma and Cousin
, and some other family.

GoodReads.com, Twitter, etc. (12:11am on 3-1-09)
Oh man.  My Internet presence grows by the day it seems lately.
I've recently joined GoodReads (where friends can see what friends
are reading or have read, as well as write reviews and rate books)
and Twitter (which is essentially a site dedicated to status
updates like those on Facebook).  GoodReads is really cool, I have
yet to figure out whether or not I find Twitter to be useful in
any way.

Bleacher Report (5:33pm on 2-26-09)
I have joined the
Bleacher Report as a volunteer sports writer.
It's a really cool site where amateur sports writers can publish
articles on any topic of their choosing.  Articles are then rated
by other users and the cream rises to the top; in some instances,
articles are even picked up by CBS Sportsline, Fox Sports and
more.  Obviously, I'm just doing it for fun, and I have no idea
how often I plan on contributing, but today I wrote my first
"Article," a
short preview of the 2009 Oakland A's season.

Wintergrass (3:57pm on 2-19-09)
Alden and I head to our third straight Wintergrass festival
tomorrow in Tacoma.  Psyched!

Back Home (10:58pm on 2-17-09)
So yeah, we're back home.  The honeymoon was epic.  Three months
in Tahiti, Australia, and New Zealand.
Photos are now up and
running.  Getting back into the swing of American life has been a
little slow so far.  I started looking for a job today and
Rhiannon and I have spent the last week looking for a new house.

New Look (again) (1:27am on 2-13-09)
Apparently I have a problem with website design commitment.  For
those of you who have followed my website since 2004, you know how
many changes the site has been through.  Had I been keeping track,
this would probably be TimothyStout.com Version 15.  I hope you
like.  Links will be working soon, I promise.

Wedding Bells (1:50pm on 10-31-08)
The day has finally come, tomorrow Rhiannon and I tie the knot!
Last night we had a wonderful rehearsal dinner and tonight we are
hosting a Halloween party at Rhiannon's parent's house.  This will
probably be my last website update until February because on
November 5th, we take off for Tahiti, Australia, and New Zealand
for three months!

House Sale! (2:31pm on 9-11-08)
My house has been sold assuming all the paperwork gets filed in an
orderly fashion over the next two weeks.  That's a long awaited
stress relief.  Wedding plans are kicking into full gear, there's
a lot more to this than I originally anticipated.  It's not the
first time I've been found naive.

Look for updates to the Swash page today and I plan on getting
more Glide reviews posted.  Also, did you know that I'm up to No.
8 on my all time top 50 guitarists list on iTim?  Check it out!

Facebook (12:59am on 7-26-08)
I am finally on
Facebook.  My internet presence is larger than
ever.  I'm sorry.

Site Updates (4:26pm on 7-16-08)
Check
iTim for an ongoing series focusing on my favorite all time
guitarists.  I have added a few photo albums in the photos section
as well.  Look for photos from the latest Stroh's Tourney, two
weddings, and a hike to Mirror Lake.  Speaking of the Stroh's
Tourney, click on the Stroh's link in the Sports section for info
on this year's tourney results.

The Mighty Swashbucklers (1:08pm on 6-30-08)
The Swashbucklers page has been launched.  I will post scores,
schedules, and more there.

Getting Closer (12:48pm on 6-26-08)
Fixed the links, now I just need to transfer a lot of the old
content from the previous website to this one.

Bad Links! (3:55pm on 6-25-08)
Okay, so I've been having trouble with the links to the left, so I
have deactivated all of them for the time being.  I do promise to
have those fixed in the next few days.

Welcome to the New Look TimothyStout.com (3:24pm on 6-24-08)
If you were familiar with the old site, you will definitely notice
some changes to the site right away, but there are also some less
obvious changes.  Take a look around.  Still, as always, no
promises on regular updates, but I'll do my best.

Be sure to check out my new music blog, iTim.
